Reeds VHF DSC Handbook (3rd edition)

A book that should be aboard every yacht fitted with a DSC VHF radio. For those with older radios, DSC stands for Digital Selective Calling, making the VHF radio more akin to a mobile phone, having its own unique number. A book to guide the student or act as an aide-memoire to the more experienced; it's all there. Two minor niggles are that the Foreword refers to the "Morse system of the 1980s” which should be “1890s”, and the hope expressed that handheld VHF DSC sets with GPS may become available, when they have been available for UK waters for some 9 months. Despite these problems the book well deserves its place beside the radio on every boat.
